Planning Processes
Mark Levine Associates excels in the design and facilitation of planning processes. Typical assignments range from facilitation of annual retreats to strategic planning and business planning processes to instituting annual goal setting and evaluation processes.

Executive Director Coaching and Peer Support

Mark provides coaching to individual Executive Directors through regular in person or phone consultations designed to build skills and introduce new tools of analysis, management or organizational development.

Mark also serves as facilitator for peer support events that bring together groups of Executive Directors. Using the "Colloquium Method" of facilitated small group discussions on topics chosen by Executive Directors, Mark helps participants realize the potential of this powerful approach to peer learning and networking.

Organizational Assessments
Mark Levine Associates also has a strong competency in organizational assessment methods and the application of assessment results to building capacity. Assessments can be conducted as part of a planning process or as a stand-alone assignment. The assessment can be comprehensive or focus on one or more dimensions of the life of a community based organization.

Board of Directors and Staff Development
Mark Levine Associates often assists Boards of Directors to conduct self-assessments and develop plans for strengthening their capacity to govern and support their community based nonprofit. Many Boards have stepped up their effectiveness as a result of these Board development workshops.

Mark often presents workshops aimed at developing staff skills. The emphasis is always on combining conceptual understanding with practical application. Topics include: facilitation skills, team approaches, and supervision skills.

Transition Assistance
Mark Levine Associates has a wealth of experience in assisting community based nonprofit organizations in times of leadership transition. Services include: advising for Boards in cases where the time of transition is also a time of serious organizational challenge, management of Executive Director search processes and coaching for interim leadership.
